The Seventh Annual Battlefield
Run will be held Saturday, September 18, 2010
Last year the Battlefield
Run raised close to $6,000 with over 100 riders and 170 participants. As the group wound its way through Virginia, West
Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania, visiting sacred sites, the riders enjoyed the beautiful weather while raising money.
The 110 mile ride ended in historic Gettysburg with no flat tires and no accidents.
The funds raised for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation
(SOWF) will provide college scholarship
grants, based on need, along with financial aid and educational counseling to the children of Special Operations personnel
that have been killed in operational missions or training accidents. Please visit their site for more information www.specialops.org

Great cause, great ride - I made the first four, and they
were fantastic!!! Ride starts in Leesburg, ends in Gettysburg, route goes through a number of Civil War battlefields,
police escorts for majority of the ride. Ends with a complimentary catered meal, and TONS of raffle prizes.
Organizer is Neal "Z-man" Zimmerman, LTC(Ret), a former Spec Ops, Joint Staff J-5-er and Officer of the Secretrary
of Defense CT guy that a many of us remember from his time here. This is honestly one of the best
rides of the year, and it benefits a cause we can all relate to. - Pentagon Biker Update
